An 'Introduction to Deer Stalking'

At Forrest Estate we can provide you with a truly unique experience on one of Scotland’s finest estates, to experience first hand the art of deer stalking.

On our 'Introduction to Deer Stalking' our experienced stalkers can guide you through all you need to know to from deer identification, gun handling, safety as well as the art and skills of stalking red and roe deer.

The course comprises of deer identification, habitat, gun handling, safety as well as the art and skills of stalking red and roe deer plus tuition on the rifle range followed by a simulated stalk.

  • 09.45am - Meet at Forrest Estate Shooting Ground – tea / coffee on arrival
  • 10.00am - Theory session, discuss deer identification, habitat, stalking, rifles, ammunition, safety
  • 12.30am - Lunch
  • 01.30pm - Rifle range practical session, shooting equipment, safety etc
  • 03.00pm - Simulated stalk
  • 03.30pm - Tea / Coffee Break
  • 04.00pm - Rifle target shooting
  • 05.00pm - Finish
