This package includes two nights bed and breakfast plus a day at our fantastic shooting ground learning the skills of clay target and or game shooting with professional and friendly tuition.

This is a must for beginners and an excellent precursor for future involvement in shooting sports.

We appreciate how difficult it can be to get started in shooting, especially if you are not involved with people who are already taking part in some form or another. Our ‘Introduction to Clay / Game Shooting’ has therefore been designed specifically to provide an initiation to shooting; from the clay ground to the field and can be tailored specifally to either if required.

This full day experience includes a morning 'Classroom' course followed by the afternoon on a selection of shooting stands where you will receive full instruction on various moving targets.

All equipment required including guns, cartridges, clays, eye and ear protection are supplied. You may wish to bring along your own guns to so we may check suitability.

Attendees with receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ in recognition of your participation.

Our fully qualified A.P.S.I Instructors have years of experience within game shooting both Driven and Walked Up / Rough Shooting as well as all aspects of Clay Pigeon Shooting and have developed a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the art and techniques of safe, successful shotgun shooting.

Itinerary: 10am - 4pm (approx 6 hours)

Morning: Off Range Classroom
•    Welcome and introductions, tea / coffee
•    An Introduction to Clay / Game Shooting
•    Shooting ground / estate rules, regulations and etiquette
•    Modern shotguns and suitable cartridges
•    Personal protective equipment & shooting accessories
•    Shotgun safety
•    Eye Dominance
•    Gun mount, gun fit, stance & shooting position plus the various shooting methods

Lunch: A light lunch will be provided

Afternoon: On Range
•    Shooting etiquette before and during the shoot
•    How to shoot moving target
